Body mass index (BMI) serves as a crucial indicator of nutritional status and metabolic health, yet its role in modulating immune function, particularly in leukemia patients living with HIV/AIDS, remains poorly understood. This paper explores the intricate relationship between BMI and immune function in this vulnerable population. Obesity, often characterized by elevated BMI, is associated with chronic low-grade inflammation and metabolic dysregulation, which can influence immune responses and disease outcomes.
