Abstract
This study explores the intricate relationship between dietary phytochemicals, nutrients, and metabolic
health, with a particular focus on their impact on chronic disease prevention. By reviewing current
literature and research findings, this paper elucidates the mechanisms through which phytochemicals and
nutrients influence metabolic markers, especially in the liver and kidneys. It discusses the potential
benefits of consuming whole plant-based foods rich in these compounds and provides insights into their
role in mitigating the risk of conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases.
Furthermore, it offers recommendations for future research directions and public health interventions
aimed at promoting optimal metabolic health.
