Abstract
Malaria research remains severely underfunded despite its global health significance. This paper examines the
evolving landscape of malaria research funding, emphasizing public-private partnerships, innovative financing
mechanisms, and the role of technology in mobilizing resources. It examines future directions, including engaging
new donors, leveraging mobile and web-based fundraising, and enhancing collaboration among researchers,
policymakers, and international organizations. Persistent inequities in funding allocation and challenges in
sustaining research efforts are discussed. The study underscores the need for diversified funding streams, stronger
regional commitments, and evidence-driven communication strategies to sustain progress toward malaria control
and eradication.
